2006 Gerolsteiner Tarmac Frame 7 Months ago
I'm looking at buying my friend's 2006 Gerolsteiner Tarmac Frame for $350. I don't think it's an S-Works (possibly Comp or Expert) but $350 sounds like an awesome deal for the frame and fork.

Here's what the whole bike looks like:

Should I pull the trigger?

Where's the starting line and what's the course record?

I would jump on that if I were in your cleats. If for nothing other than having a spare and/or trading stock. Scottie bought a Tarmac (S-works)frame and fork a year or so ago and paid $1000 (marked down from $2000). Although that was a new F&F. I think it was last year Jeremy crashed his Specialized and had to buy a new frame...$1600. But I don't know what model his is. Anyway, I'm just sayin'.

I have a 2007 Tarmac Pro. I bought just the frame used for $900. This will be my 3rd season riding it and I still love!!! In 2005 and 2006 I think there where some problems with the seat post binder they didn’t use a clamp just a binder. But if it locks the seat post tight BUY IT. If you can talk him into giving you the specialized seat post with the frame that would be great. The post is light and dampens vibrations very well.

My recommendation: don't buy it. If you start riding this frame you're going to get even faster and then I'll have to do more work. Stay away from that frame. It can only bring (me) troubles.

Connor... did you see that Nathan Banerman is selling his S-Works frame and fork? Not sure if this link works, but you two are already FB friends anyway right?

I couldn't get the link to work. How much is he asking? I need a 58 cm frame.
