Best Route from Spokane to Pullman 6 Months ago
I had a guy from PSU Cycling email me about the best cycling route from Spokane to Pullman/Moscow. He was looking at riding down the Palouse Highway because it would be the most direct and relatively low-traffic. Are there any other routes that would be good?

There's so many ways you could go, but I can't think of anything nearly as direct as SR 27. There's some awesome riding between here and Pullman, that's for sure.

When I went to WSU, I always took Highway 195 back & forth for weekend trips home. Wide shoulders, great line of sight. There are just a couple "pinch points" where the shoulder disappears as the road goes over a bridge, calling for a well-timed crossing. The rest area is almost precisely halfway, which is handy for reloading on water.

Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah I guess 195 is the most direct. Does SR 27 has less traffic?

Hway 27 gets kinda spooky for bikes after Rockford, in my opinion. No shoulder, drivers that often speed, narrow road, some blind corners for the cars.
